Stand Against Hate

It’s OK to practice Hate against this one minority
NO! That was a trick question! it is NOT OK to be prejudiced against “just this one minority” or “just this one group” or any minority or any group..
For example, it is NOT OK to hate all Americans just because of the tragedy that happened to the Native Americans (indigenous people — get proper word?).
Not believing that the current Americans should all be sent back to Europe does not mean one thinks what happened to the Native Americans was right.
Black Lives Matter exists in part because there are Americans who commit acts of prejudice against black people.

However, supporting America does NOT mean you agree with every prejudice act committed by every American.
Supporting Israel does not mean you agree with everything the Israeli government does.
Supporting Islam (or a particular Islamic/Arab/Persian country) does not mean you support everything anybody ever does that they say is in support of Islam.
Supporting Black Lives Matter does not mean you agree with any looting or arson that was done (supposedly) in the name of BLM.
Believing China has a right to exist does not mean you agree with human rights violations that occur there.
Believing Saudi Arabia has a right to exist does not mean you necessarily agree with the way women are treated there.
Believing LGBT people have equal rights and should be treated with respect does not mean you agree with the extreme opinions of that one LGBT person you met at the bar last week
Remember: You can support a county (or organization) without agreeing 100% with everything they do. So if you meet someone who supports a country or organization that you do NOT support … Try to think of the specific reason you don’t support them. You may be surprised to find out that that person doesn’t agree with that particular point either ... Or at least try to understand that there may be other points to consider that you didn’t think of.
